Ministry of Music & Worship Arts

At Berkeley UMC, we believe the inclusion of varied arts are an authentic expression of faith, a language of outreach from the Church to the world, and a means of attracting others to the beauty of God. Our worship service seeks to include as many different areas of the arts as possible including vocal, instrumental, drama, art, poetry, table design & more. We are always seeking to develop these arts and to involve as many persons as possible. For more information, please contact Vikki Schwarz at 512-701-0701.

Under the direction of Vikki Schwarz and with the expert accompaniment of Dr. Tyler Mabry, the Chancel Choir provides music leadership for our 10:00 am service blending a variety of styles and musical forms. Our music calendar includes special cantata performances during Holy Week and Advent as well as an annual American Hymnody celebration each year. Rehearsals are typically Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm in the Sanctuary. No experience is necessary and childcare is provided.
